SS 558: 2010

SSAS provides technical advice to SPRING, Singapore in reviewing the former CP-59, Code of Practice for Construction, installation, operation and maintenance of intruder alarm systems – which covers burglar alarm, design installation and maintenance.

The revised Singapore Standard SS 558 : 2010 Code of Practice for Construction, installation, operation and maintenance of intruder alarm systems, provides an updated guidance and practices of intruder alarm systems in line with the regulations stated in the Private Security Industry Act (PSIA).

The revised Singapore Standard SS 558 : 2010 will be launched by SPRING, Singapore on 22 October 2010.
In continuation of the review of the CP-59 standard to SS 558:2010, SSAS also contributes in the Singapore Accreditation Council’s (SAC) working group for extension of Inspection scheme to Central Alarm Monitoring Stations (CAMS) operators.
